KENNEDY’S 7 MONTH BABY UPDATE…

Here is Kennedy’s 7 month update! I have been really bad with posting regularly because I am taking a maternity leave from blogging and posting full-time. But I wanted to share with you Kennedy’s 7 month update! She is now 8 months old, but I still wanted to share with you guys everything that happened with Kennedy during her 7th month!

When Kennedy was 7 months old, she was eating around 25 ounces of formula a day, and I usually feed her after she wakes up from her naps and a bottle after bath right before I put her down for bed. She also ate 2-3 tablespoons of solids 1-2 times a day. Some foods Kennedy loved eating was mainly vegetables and some fruit. She had sweet potatoes, butternut squash, carrots, peas, prunes, bananas and strawberries! I also give her oatmeal every morning for breakfast about an hour after she wakes up. I love the oatmeal from the brand Happy Baby! I have a lot of their baby food products and Kennedy starting eating the teething biscuits, puffs and yogis while she was 7 months and now eats those as snacks during the day.

I feel like at the end of 7 months Kennedy’s physical skills and language changed a lot! At the end of 7 months, beginning of 8 months she started crawling! All throughout the 7th month she was just scooting and spinning to get to where she wanted to go! But now I can call her to me and she will come crawling’ away! She started wearing size 9-12 months while she was 7 months old and size 2 shoes. Some activities I enjoyed doing with her while she was 7 months old include swimming her on the swing at the park, going on walks, having her crawl around and feel the grass at the park, go on nature walks and explain and point out everything to her, read her books and teach her animals and sounds, go run errands with mommy, play at The Little Gym, have playdates with her baby friends, and of course playing with Daddy! She also loves spending a lot of time on her play mat and playing with her toys!!

CHANGES + MILESTONES AT 7 MONTHS OLD:

She is about 29″ and weighs 21 pounds! I have a baby scale at home and measured her myself at home, so that is what I got!
She is scooting and spinning to where she wants to go! She is pretty long, so she is able to stretch her arms out and reach for mostly anything she wants too haha!
She is still sleeping about 11-12 hours straight a night! I have been putting her to bed earlier, between 6:30pm-7:15pm and she still sleeps amazing!
She LOVES all food and loves her veggies! There isn’t anything she doesn’t like so far (knock on wood) 😉
She has been able to sit up on her own now without any assistance!
Kennedy loves grabbing things and putting EVERYTHING in her mouth! She also likes sucking on her fingers and her fist. haha I got her this banana teething toy and the Sophie the Giraffe, and she LOVES them!
She has two bottom teeth and she loves to show them off and cheese all the time to people!
She loves other babies and adults, but mainly gets so excited and happy when she sees young babies and kids!
She is very content and happy, and could go days without getting super upset!
She still naps 3 times a day, and her wake time is usually only 2 hours before she starts to rub her eyes and let mommy know it’s time for a nap. I have gotten so many DMs and questions about her blackout shades in her nursery. So her window in her nursery goes across the whole wall and is floor to ceiling!! We have white drapes up but the light was still shining though, and her naps were not as long as I would like. I had her napping in the closet for the longest time because it is pitch black in there, but I needed something effective and cheap to make her room a space for her to nap again. I got these black out shades form Home Depot and they work amazing!! They are really reasonable and make her nursery now completely dark!!! She can nap now up to 2 hours in the dark nursery during the day!
I have been taking her to a mommy and me baby class every week since she was 4 months old! It’s at a place called The Little Gym and Kennedy LOVES it! She has some little friends she loves to see each week, and she loves her teachers there! When we go into the gym she lights up and gets super excited. We do lots of songs, baby stretches and flips, games and exploration time!

Here are just some snapshots of this past month, and some things Kennedy loves to do now!

Run errands and go shopping with mommy! I love this shopping cart cover I got off of Amazon. It is really wide and fits on every shopping car perfectly. I also am really impressed with the quality and style of it as well…

Kennedy loves the park and playing on the grass! I have to keep a close eye on her though, because she will put all that grass in her mouth if I’m not watching! haha

She has become mommy’s best friend and my little buddy!!!

She sits up most of the time in the bath tub and loves playing with her bath toys! I also LOVE all the Noodle & Boo bath products, and if you love the fresh baby smell you will love their entire line!

Another funny thing Kennedy loves to do is play in her crib with ALL of her stuffed animals. I will put her in her crib with all of them and she gets super excited and happy and can be in there for a long time super happy!
Kennedy now sits up in the high chair and loves eating at the table with mommy and daddy at restaurants now!

At The Little Gym having a blast exploring!

She LOVVEESSS the pool and hanging out in her pool floats in her flamingo swimsuit! haha She is such a little diva! I have two for her that I both equally love. One is a flamingo float which is so adorable for summer, and the baby pool float has an activity toy in the front and an SPF 50+ sun shade canopy which is nice if she is in the sun for a while! This turkish towel is really cute for summer and is from Lulujo.com! I got her pink glasses here and her bucket hat here!
