Kennedy and Dane’s Kid Cave!
Today I’m sharing a closer look into the kid’s fun and playful playroom!

I’m so happy that the kids now have their own space to play and a spot to keep all their toys! Dane and Kennedy’s Kid Cave might be the most used room in the house right now! I have wanted to create a playroom since we moved into our house a few years back. Since the the whole quarantine started 6 months ago, I REALLY need to get a space created for the kids. I’m so glad we got it done, because it is sooo nice to have them play in here for a while and keep them entertained. It will be especially useful to have this playroom in the Winter months when it’s too cold to play outside or on rainy days. I got so many items for the kid’s playroom from buybuyBABY! I created a mood board and kind of started figuring out what I wanted to make sure I had in this space!
Their playroom is a fun, playful, vibrant space where the kids could just play, have fun, not worry about always making a mess, and just be children! We used the upstairs loft as the playroom and it is the perfect spot! I like that it is open, so we can hear the kids from anywhere in the house. I love that they have their kid table up there, art easel, toy cubby for storing their toys, and a book wall. I tried to make the space fun and kid-friendly, but also aesthetically pleasing to go with the rest of the decor in the house because it is in the open loft.
I made this book wall to display all their favorite books! I’m so lucky Kennedy and Dane both love books and when I read to them, so it’s a functional yet pretty spot to store them all. I also think having books visible to the kids makes them want to do reading time more and they will grab one themselves, unlike if all the books were tucked away somewhere. I think the book wall with this cute kid hammock is Kennedy’s new favorite spot in the house!
