WHAT I’M PACKING IN MY HOSPITAL BAG…

I can’t believe I’m 38 weeks and I can have my baby any day now! We keep counting down the days until she is in our arms and it really can happen any day now. Even though I am super uncomfortable (especially in this Texas summer heat), I want her to cook a bit longer 😉 We are two weeks out and I already have everything ready and prepared for her big arrival!
I’ve been having the usual symptoms such as swelling, fatigue, low energy and always tired, and achy joints and my back huts so bad. As you can tell in this video, I am VERY swollen and retaining a lot of water. My doctor doesn’t seem to be too worried yet, but he is monitoring me at each appointment. To be honest, it is worrying me and I am so swollen I can press down about an inch on the top of my feet. Fingers crossed everything will continue to be okay! I have been eating really healthy and avoiding salty foods, so I’m hoping that will help in some way.
At my last doctor appointment, he measured the baby and said she weighs a little over 7lbs, which is so good! I’m guessing around her due date she will be a couple pounds more than that. My birthday is September 15th, so maybe she will be an early birthday surprise. We will have to just wait and see!

I know I am over-packing but that is my personality. I’m literally a walking boy scout and come prepared for everything and anything wherever I go- just ask my husband. I won’t have any family around to help out at the hospital or anyone besides Alex to do everything to help in the recovery/ post delivery. So I wanted to make sure I came as prepared as possible.
