Dane’s Coastal Nursery!

I’m so excited to finally share our baby boy’s nursery! I had so much fun putting this room together!

I’m so excited to finally share Dane’s coastal and nautical themed nursery! It was so exciting putting is room together, since it’s the complete opposite of Kennedy’s super girly nursery. Having a little baby boy has been so amazing and so fun. I had a hard time coming up with a theme for his room. I bounced some ideas around for a little bit, but finally decided on this theme. It was a no-brainer because we love the beach and live near the beach here in southern California. I thought it would be so cute to have whales, boats, shiplap, and some beach decor. It took me a long time to finally get his room completed because I had a hard time finding nautical pieces that weren’t super cheesy. But it is finally done and Dane is now two months old! Take a peek inside Dane’s nursery…

I teamed up with some amazing companies to put together Dane’s nursery! I’m obsessed with the Fela Chandelier and navy pom pom rug from Project Nursery! These handwoven navy pom pom baskets from Serena & Lily are so functional yet stylish for a nursery. You can use it for so many things, such as a planter, toy storage, laundry, etc. I love how they match his rug and they add some texture to the decor. They carry amazing furniture and decor for a coastal look for any room! My two favorite items in the room are his iron crib and the round nautical mirror! I love this vintage inspired iron crib from Million Dollar Baby because it is so classic looking and I think it looks so cute in a little boys room. It also comes in white and gold, which are gorgeous too! It also can transition into a toddler bed when he is older, which is so nice. The round nautical mirror from Serena & Lily is such a statement mirror. It was one of the first items I got for his room. I saw it and immediately knew I had to have it for his nautical themed room. The fringe macrame crib skirt is also from Serena & Lily. I thought it was so unique and perfect for that laid back, beachy feel I was going for. It also adds some playful texture to the room as well.

I worked with Carousel Designs to custom design his white black out drapes and crib bumper. I chose the color white pique for the drapes and bumper, and navy ties and border on the bumper. They have the best selection of baby bedding. You can custom design almost anything for a nursery and choose the exact colors you want! The small boat row on the shelf is from Carousel Designs.

I was searching the internet for something to hang his blankets on, and came across this white dipped ladder. I thought it was a cool idea to store some of his blankets while making it a decor piece as well. I also was looking for a comfy glider that was functional, rocked and swiveled, and didn’t cost an arm and a leg! I came across this neutral glider and it was such a great purchase for his reading corner. I plan on adding more books to his floating shelves, and I can’t wait to read to him every night there. It took me awhile to find knick knacks for the floating shelves, which are from Sarah Lou Co. I found these whale bookends and thought it was so cute!! I wanted to add another more earthy element to his nursery, and came across this end table next to the glider. It looked beachy and was the perfect piece I added last minute to his room. One more piece of furniture I absolutely love is this dresser!! It was very inexpensive and is actually such great quality. I was about to purchase a dresser almost identical for three times the price, but I’m so happy that I chose this one.
