ALL THAT GLITTERS THIS NEW YEARS EVE!

Hey guys! I had a wonderful christmas spent with my fiancé’s family and all of my family! I loved getting to see his family’s traditions and getting to spend our first Christmas together!! Now that Christmas is over, it’s on to the next holiday which is New Year’s Eve! I’ve never been a huge fan of NYE but now that I’m older I look forward to it more and more each year! One of my favorite things to do on New Year’s Eve now is to reflect back on my year and see what I accomplished and try to set new goals for the new year. I love setting goals and making lists of things I can accomplish or better ways to improve myself. If you’re like me, and don’t have any idea what to do this NYE here are my Top 5 New Year’s Eve ideas!

1. DINNER PARTY! Invite your friends and your loved one’s friends over to your place for a glam dinner, dancing, and some games! Go all out and cook a delicious dinner, or have everyone bring a dish and make it potluck style (just make sure someone brings dessert!!) Getting everyone you love together on New Year’s Eve sets a great tone for the new year! Also, it’s better than spending it alone on the couch!

2. PARTY IT UP! If you’re tired of spending year after year taking the easy way out and spending it in your PJs on the couch, try getting off your booty and hitting the town! Find out whether any masquerades, dances, concerts, parties or other such events are being planned in your area. It’s always fun getting dressed up and being fancy for a night! It gives you an excuse to buy that cute dress you’ve had your eye on the past couple months!

3. GET AWAY! Change it up this year and do something way different! If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to be more adventurous, why not start that a day early! Plan a spontaneous trip somewhere, preferably somewhere warm and with a beach hehe! Toast the New Years by the ocean!

4. BE ADVENTUROUS! Have you always had a bucket list of crazy, adventurous things you’ve always wanted to do sometime in your life, but life always seems to get in the way? Pull out that bucket list and check something off this NYE! Whether it is ringing in the New Year in Times Square, Paris, or Australia, skydiving over the desert, riding horses on a beach, or anything else- DO IT! Most people think they have their whole lives ahead of them, but the time to do something is now!

5. DINNER FOR TWO, PLEASE! If you and your sweetie just want a chill and relaxed New Year’s Eve but also don’t want to stay at home, make a reservation for a nice restaurant you both have been dying to try! You get to get dressed up and go out, but without the craziness of club hopping or the boringness of being on the coach watching tv!

Now just pick one, but make sure you think about it carefully! After all, midnight only strikes once. Where do you wish to be?
