4 Year Anniversary // January 23rd, 2015

Yesterday was our four year wedding anniversary! I’m sharing some wedding photos from that day and little letters we wrote for each other!

I remember January 23rd, 2015 so clearly. From waking up that morning with my stomach filled with butterflies that I get to finally be married to the love of my life and be sealed to him for eternity! It almost seemed like a dream, and honestly never really thought I would ever find my true love. He asked me to marry him 5 months prior while on a vacation to Cancun with him and his family! You can see our engagement video in this post! We got sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple, and had our ring ceremony and reception at the Westlake Village Inn in Westlake Village, CA.

God’s timing was perfect in how we met and fell in love! He really did answer my prayers and Alex was and still is everything and more than I could’ve ever imagined. Being Alex’s wife is the best decision I’ve ever made and the most important thing in the world to me! January 23rd is such an important date for me! It’s when Alex and I had our first date in 2014, we got married exactly one year later in 2015, and I found out I was pregnant with Kennedy the following year in 2016! We wrote letters yesterday and wanted to share them here!

What I Love About Alex:

You are not only my husband but my absolute best friend!!! It’s hard to describe but I feel like you truly are my other half. Like when I look at you I see a part of me. You get me more than anyone and I feel like you know me better than I know myself sometimes! Since being married to you, I’ve never been so confident and felt more beautiful. You tell me 5x a day how beautiful I am and always makes me feel so loved. I love how smart you are and can do anything you set your mind to. You are such a hard worker in your career and have always aimed high in achieving all your goals. I love how you are such an amazing father and love our daughter so deeply. You do so much to show your love for her and makes sure she feels loved. You will do anything for anyone. You are the first to offer someone help and is always looking to help people and do service. Helping others and doing service is a huge part of who you are and where you find lots of joy. You truly are so inspiring and make me want to be better in this area and be a better person overall. I love how you are soo funny, goofy, and is the only guy who has made me laugh so hard! We have the same sense of humor and really don’t have normal conversations 99% of the time haha! We always say if people really heard how we talk to each other and how silly we act, they wouldn’t believe it haha! You always know the right things to say when I’m down and is the only one who makes me feel better after having a bad day. I love how you will be real and tell me when I’m being wrong too. Marrying you and being your wife will forever be the best decision I’ve ever made! Love you for eternity! xx

What Alex Loves About Katelyn:

Words cannot describe my love for you. Although 4 years is a short amount of time, we have accomplished so much together. From starting your blog in Provo Utah, to dealing with my horrible work schedule in Houston, to being a single mom to Kennedy, to moving to CA for a new job, to buying our first house together. My life really didn’t start until I met you and I cant imagine what things would be like if we never went to that cheesy game night in Provo 5 years ago.

To sum up my feelings and love for you, first, I love how amazing of a person you are. You are the BEST mother a kid could have (Kennedy is very lucky) and you are the BEST wife. You are so thoughtful and caring and I love how you take so much time to make sure that Kennedy is developing properly and receiving the necessary experiences to be an amazing person. I love how talented you are and how you are so successful with everything that you put your mind too. I love how beautiful you are and how you dedicate so much time on your health.

You inspire me to be a better person and you are the reason I get up each morning. You are truly my soulmate and I cannot wait to see what is in store for us this next year. I love you forever princess! Happy Anniversary!
